In September 2016, AML Solutions International, in partnership with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) travelled to Antanarivo, Madagascar, under the umbrella of the Governance, Peace and Security Section, Regional Maritime Security Programme (MASE), as well as the COMESA Secretariat, to conduct a Basic Tactical and Strategic Analysis Training Workshop for Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) Analysts of Member States.
The workshop was primarily for French speaking nations, so the material had been provided to COMESA for translation for the workshop attendees. Countries such as Madagascar, Comoros and Mauritius sent participants. Translation was instantaneous, and was of a very high standard.
Feedback from the participants, both formal and informal indicated that the workshop was a success. Access to French PowerPoints, and a high standard of interpretation ensured that all members attending gained maximum value from discussion
